CALA-GMA Professional Development Day (May 21, 2015)

GMA Chapter will hold a professional development event on May 21, 2015. The following is the specific agenda:

  • Speaker: Dr. Binh Le, Associate Librarian of Pennsylvania State University
  • Topic: Success Characteristics of Asian American Academic Library Leaders
  • 10:30 – 11:00am Self Introduction and Networking
  • 11:00am – 12:30pm  Presentation by Binh followed by Round Table Discussion
  • 12:30 pm – Lunch and Networking in Ellicott City

Binh Le

Dr. Binh P. Le is Associate Librarian at the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to coming to Penn State, he was a professional librarian at Purdue University. He has published widely in academic librarianship, including books, book chapters, and journal articles. He has also presented numerous papers/poster sessions at national and international conferences as well as organized/chaired/moderated many scholarly panels at professional conferences. Additionally, he has chaired many ALA/ACRL committees/sections, served as member or leaders in international, national, and local professional organizations, and been honored with various awards. His presentation will be extremely insightful and helpful for our future career. We hope you are able to john us on May 21.
